Quick tips for the upcoming Enrollment Period

When can I sign up for an ACA individual plan?

Open Enrollment begins November 1, 2020 and goes to December 15, 2020. After December 15, 2020, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period if you’ve had certain life events, including losing health coverage, moving, getting married, having a baby, or adopting a child.

What will I need to enroll?

You’ll need all the information for you (and your family members if you’re choosing a family plan) including things like home address, Social Security Numbers, information on how you’ll file your taxes, and more. In fact, we have a full checklist of everything you’ll need to sign up!

Will Spira Care plans be available on the ACA marketplace?

Yes! (And no.) It depends on where you live. You can choose an individual Spira Care ACA plan if you live in Johnson or Wyandotte counties in Kansas, or Platte, Clay, or Jackson counties in Missouri. If you live outside of those counties, Blue KC offers other ACA plan options.
